Two weekends ago, D and I went to DC to visit KC and one our stops was at the Smithsonian of Natural History. I had pre-ordered tix for the butterfly exhibit. That's right - live butterflies!! Squeeee and ewwww all at the same time.

While bugs in general, no matter how pretty they are, freak me out - I'd highly recommend this exhibit. So cool!

I went to one at the Natural History Museum - in Los Angeles - last year. FABULOUS. I think it should open next month, and I'm going to do my best to get Boyfriend to go with me.

We were in a forest of opaque and irridescent wings.

oooooh fun!! you should def go again! I know I would. I was a little disappointed at the amount of butterflies in there. i mean, there were plenty, but i wouldn't have mind feeling like I had walked through a curtain of flutters. i'll have to check out others, so I can compare. :)

they have this one open year round - they just keep it 85+ and humid inside to keep he butterflies going.
